Roles & Responsibilities
- Carry out annual or any other company set inspections and preventive maintenance on all cranes installed on offshore platforms in accordance with API RP 2D and company’s requirements.
- Inspection includes but not limited to inspection of wire ropes, hoists splined connections, pinion drives and engine to gearbox connections, testing of engine over-speed shutdown systems, and slew bearing tilt test.
- Review inspection results and findings and follow up with corrective actions.
- Ensure the crane's safe operation by troubleshooting and diagnosing lifting equipment problems and safety system at site.
Requirements
- Malaysian with Engineering Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or SPM/SPMV/MLVK or equivalent.
- 7-10 years of working experience related to total maintenance of offshore pedestal crane and other lifting equipment maintenance and operation in offshore oil and gas industries i.e. Monorails, overhead travelling cranes, gin poles and gantry cranes etc.
- BOSIET approved by PETRONAS.
- Other trade qualification and training certificates including API RP 2D or equivalent relevant to offshore pedestal crane and other lifting equipment maintenance & inspection.
